| You would see them on the ground, making their way in the grass, in search of food. It was a hot day and the bird was panting to keep cool.
A puddle of water was an obvious choice.

ReplyDeleteThis used to be called Richard's Pipit, but is now known as Paddyfield Pipit (Anthus rufulus). Richard's is, at best a rare migrant visitor. Your bird is a juvenile, as can be told by the nice fresh plumage.

Nice images Madi. It's difficult to keep up with all the lumping and splitting but what's important is enjoying the bird.
