You will know when they are around by their loud calls. The male bird has longer tail feathers than the female. Rarely out in the open they are tough birds to shoot.

I tried playing with one yesterday, but I got 2. One calling from afar and the second tried sneaking behind me. I was not so lucky like you -no pictures.
