An hour and a half of waiting, a White-Throated Kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis) offered a brief moment of excitement. It was a prelude to the full adrenalin rush when the Grey-Headed Fish-Eagles appeared.
I help you to thank that wonderful character for saving your day. Though a trash bird to me but most days, the White-throated is always there to save what would otherwise be a disasterous outing.
