Little Herons of Sekinchan

5 July 2009, Sungai Besar, Sekinchan, Selangor

Bumped into a group of Little Herons(Butorides striata)  local name: Burung Puchong at the fisherman’s wharf, Sekinchan. It’s the first time that  I’ve been able to get close shots of these birds in good light.  A juvenile,  so wary of intruders. She was trying to get as far away from us as possible.

She stood on the mooring rope waiting for the fish below.
