Dark & Handsome? : Chestnut-Winged Babbler

Dark: Yes, he was in the dark. Handsome: Hmmmmmm… hard to say,   Beautiful…. Yesss.

A Chestnut-Winged Babbler (Stachyris erythroptera) local name : Rimba Merbah Sampah. They prefer the thick  vegetation  near the forest floor  which made  taking  clear shots rather tricky.  I’ve never tried using shutter speeds below 1/80s  before but   was pleasantly surprised by the outcome even though these were shot at 1/30s  f6.3  ISO 800.         A lifer

 

98.53%  visible (I guess high enough to be considered a full bird!)
