A trogon appeared quite late in the afternoon at the Trogon Valley (Telecom Loop) but stayed high in the canopy against strong backlighting. Although the pictures on the camera screen was kind of blur I had a feeling that this was a new trogon for me. Then I saw the white breast patch and immediately I knew that it had to be a Red-headed Trogon.. a lifer Sorry for the quality of these photos for they are just record shots. The Trogon only decided to come down lower about half an hour before sunset and the condition was already very dark .
