I went to check on the pair of adult Blue-eared Kingfishers, and from what I saw they were doing just fine. The pair were seen hunting at their favourite spot, in fact from their favourite branch. Having this knowledge will gain you access to some pretty close-up shots of this tiny Kingfisher. They were caring for a young bird the last time I saw them about six months ago, my guess is that the young bird had moved to a new area. This one is a male with a blackish lower mandible.
