It’s breeding season for the Baya Weavers. This male with a yellow crown is busy weaving his nest – no architect, no blueprints needed to build such an intricate hanging structure, it’s all imprinted in the genes. |
May be architects and structural engineers can learn something from this humble bird... ha ha ha How about that? my architect birder?
ReplyDeleteaah, the baya weaver...there are so so many nests at Kemensah...up at the trunks of those coconut trees and fruit trees...quite a sight

I'm always fascinated by the nest of weavers, any species. There are several nesting colonies of this Baya Weaver in my hometown in northern Thailand. These little birds are just amazing!
ReplyDeleteDear Sir, May I redistribute one of this tailorbird's photo? Thanks.
