Species: Laced Woodpecker

Local Name: Belatuk Hijau/ Bakau

Scientific Name: Picus vittatus

Equipment: Nikon 1 V2 + Nikkor AFS-VR 400mm f/2.8G ( remote shutter release)

All wet after a heavy downpour.

    I imagine these birds would be difficult to see in leaves with their colouring and markings.

    I only recently learnt that some woodpeckers favour decaying old timber, so its interesting to see these in that environment.
