Stripe-Throated Bulbul on Pokok Kerengga

5th September 2009, Kemensah, Selangor

No flash and I like what I see! A bit more button pushing  and dial tweaking but the result is worth it.

A Stripe-Throated Bulbul  (Pycnonotus finlaysoni) taking a breather, away from the hot sun. I was doing the same during  this fasting month, most of the time using the jeep to get from one location to the other, even for short distances.

  1. Those yellow feathers are quite dramatic. You wouldn't suspect it from the rear view. Excellent shots.

  2. Beautiful bird and beautiful captured with no flash. I wonder why this weaver ants don't bite bird?.
