A colony of Little Egrets (Egretta garzetta) have made a marshy area near the fisherman’s wharf their breeding ground. There were hundreds of these birds, some already with hatchlings. The same area was shared with breeding Black-Crowned Night Herons and Little Herons so they were highly protective of their real estate. |
