Common Kingfisher

All my previous shots of this beautiful migrant Kingfisher were taken when the birds were on a man-made structure. This time I was lucky to have this Common Kingfisher hunting in a  more natural surrounding.     Some kind of insect larva  that she snatched up from the  stream.

Male Stork Billed Kingfisher

A record shot of the elusive Stork-billed Kingfisher. This species is quite common  in the northern states but here in Selangor and the Klang valley they are not easy to find. Managed to locate one bird near a fish pond in Semenyih but he proved to be one tough cookie to shoot.
